Pulse Flow Meters
Hytek offer several types of pulse meter including turbine & oval gear pulse meters. In the case of turbine meters, a turbine or rotor with magnetic tips spins as liquid passes through the meter, which in turn activates a switch as it rotates. It is this action that produces the pulsed output.
Oval gear pulse flow meters function in a similar way but with opposing rotating gears as opposed to one spinning turbine. In this case, the gear has the magnet attached to it which activates the switch with the same result as with the turbine pulse meter above.
Our range of pulse flow meters can handle various liquids such as diesel, oil, antifreeze & AdBlue®. Typical accuracies range from +/- 0.5 – 1%, pressures to 994 psi (70 bar) & flow rates from 1 to 150 L/min. Many of our pulse meters do not require an external power supply & are therefore ideal for use in remote locations where no power is available.
