Spill Kits for Oil, Fuel Spill Kit & Drain Protectors
No matter how much you try to avoid them, small spills of fuel or oil and other lubricants are almost inevitable. It’s therefore essential to be prepared for them and ensure that suitable spill kits are easily accessible wherever fuel or oil may be spilled, to prevent environmental damage and control a small spill before it becomes a major problem.
Hytek offers complete spill kits suitable for Diesel, Petrol, AdBlue® & various other fuels & lubrication fluids. These include small sets of absorbent pads that repel water while absorbing fuel, and are perfect for storing in a workshop cabinet or a service van. Hytek also provides complete bin spill kits in 80 litre, 100 litre and 200 litre absorbant capacities. These contain everything needed to deal with a major spill including heavy pads, socks, bags and zip ties, and instructions, and are perfect for placing near a fuel island.
Also available in the range are Hytek’s own spill mats, with a unique absorbent sandwich construction that holds onto oil and fuel while repelling water, but is also robust enough to withstand being walked on or even driven over. These spill mats have twice the absorbency of similar products, and meet or exceed all of the Environment Agency’s standards.
Hytek also provides drum toppers in packs of 5 or 25, with pre-cut holes for large or small filters. These absorbent pads sit on top of drums, keeping the tops clean, repelling water, and safely absorbing any spilt oil or fuel that might drip while transferring it.
Another great addition to a spill kit are the drain protection covers we provide. These washable and reusable mats can be quickly placed over a drain in the event of a spill, where it will form a tight seal and prevent fuel, oil or other spilt chemicals from being washed down a drain where it could cause environmental damage.
